About the ship

The SS Virginia V was built in 1922, and is the last steamship of the Puget Sound “Mosquito Fleet”. She is also the only operating wooden screw-steam passenger vessel in the United States.

Virginia V originally offered ferry service from Seattle to Tacoma via the west side of Vashon Island, running from 1922 to 1940. Now, she is one of Seattle’s most unique event venues.

Cruise in Style

This is an all-ages event (those under 18 must have a parent or guardian on board with them). There will be a bar, with beer, wine, and soda for purchase along with snacks.

There will also be a dance floor with music, as well as outer decks for sight-seeing. You will get to see the ship’s original wheel, and go down to watch the 1904-vintage steam engine in action!

Be sure to check out the raffle prizes and buy some tickets at the charity raffle table. (All proceeds go to the Steamer Virginia V Foundation)

Our cruise will take us from Lake Union out to Lake Washington. It’s a unique view of Seattle, Bellevue, and Medina.
